Required tools

  • Wire strippers

  • Rubber mallet

  • Screws & drill (if mounting on a deck or patio)

  • Speaker cable

Remove the base plate

Twist the base plate counter-clockwise and remove.

Secure the base plate

Secure the base plate to the mounting surface using the three existing holes and the provided mounting hardware.

Mount the subwoofer onto the base plate

Place the subwoofer onto base plate and twist clockwise until it stops.

Strip the speaker wire

Strip ½ ‘’ of the insulation from the end of each conductor.

Twist the wires

Twist the wires from the speaker cable run in a clockwise direction to ensure there are no stray conductors.

Connect to the subwoofer

Caution: The included wire nuts are designed for direct burial. Use an equivalent connector for any wiring exposed to water or weather.

Twist the wire nuts clockwise onto the wires to connect the (+) and (-) to the subwoofer. Be careful to maintain polarity.

Connect to the amplifier

Attach the speaker wire run to the amplifier. Connect the amplifier to a source and to power.

Test audio

Pro Tip: For best results, pair Episode Surroundscape speakers with an Episode Hybrid Amplifier using the appropriate DSP presets for your configuration.

Listen to the system from several locations. Adjust the amplifier volume to optimize sound quality and volume.

Let the system play for half an hour to ensure that the system is reliable.
